Ground transportation
Taxis, limousines, ride-sharing services, Cap Metro Airport Shuttle bus, and car rental services are available.
Most major car rental firms operate within the airport. In addition to the rental charges, there is an $18/night guest parking fee at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center.
Taxi fares normally are in the range of $30.00 + tip for the approximately 25 minute 9 mile ride to and from the airport, but can be more expensive and longer during rush hour. The AT&T Hotel and Conference Center has a cab stand where Taxi's typically are waiting to provide transportation to the airport, or just around town.
To use Uber, Lyft and other ride-sharing services, follow their instructions for pickup at ABIA.
Capital Metro operates an Airport Shuttle bus service that runs right past the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center (https://www.capmetro.org/airport/). However, the nearest drop off point is on Lavaca St. at the corner of 17th St. From there it's an approximately two block walk straight up Lavaca to the AT&T Hotel and conference center, where Lavaca St. ends at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The service runs from the airport every 15 minutes on the quarter hour between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM, and every thirty minutes on the half-hour between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM and between 10:00 PM and 11:30 PM. The ABIA pickup point is on the lower level under a hard-to-miss large neon guitar-shaped bus stop (consistent Austin's "Live Music Capital of the World" moniker). The pickup point near the hotel for return to the airport is Guadalupe Street, one block west from the Lavaca St. drop off point. The one-way fare is $1.25.
The AT&T hotel and Conference Center guest services staff can arrange private ground transport with the most professional livery services in the region. See the hotels transportation web page, http://www.meetattexas.com/page/transportation.
