Travel and Hotels

The conference site is Nara Prefectural New Public Hall, located in the center of Nara Park.  Nara does not have its own airport; Osaka has Kansai International Airport (KIX) and Osaka Itami Airport (ITM, for domestic flights).  Limousine bus services are available from both airports.  Nara is also conveniently connected with Osaka and Kyoto by Japan Railway or Kintetsu Line.

Local Transpotation
Many hotels are located near JR Nara Station.  We recommend you take Nara Kotsu Bus from Bus Stop N1 (JR Nara Station) to the conference site (the distance is about 2.5 km and it takes 15 min by bus + 5 min on foot).  Loop Bus No. 2 operates from JR Nara Station to the conference site, and Loop Bus No. 1 operates vice verse.  The nearest bus stop to the conference site is Bus Stop N7 (Daibutsuden-Kasugataisha-mae for Loop Bus No. 2 and Todaiji Daibutsuden-Kokuritsu Hakubutsukan for Loop Bus No. 1).  The bus operates frequently (every 10 min), and it costs JPY 200 one way.  The public transportation guide can be downloaded from here.
